As proud sponsors of Wokingham District Primary Schools’ U11’s Football Team it dawned on me that we should really be sharing and shouting about the teams weekly pursuits on our blog. Thanks to Keith Doward (Coach) we will now be posting the result from the weekends games, a bit of match chatter and any exciting up and coming news from the squad.
So… to pardon the pun we will ‘kick off’ with Saturdays game just played.
Wokingham District U11’s v Gloucester
28th November 10:30 K.O.
Wokingham boys ran out 5-1 winners against a very strong Gloucester team. After a tricky first 10 minutes, goals from Ballard, Mott and Athey saw off a spirited Gloucester side who rounded off the scoring with a late consolation goal.
The direct and clinical approach from the Wokingham boys proved to be the undoing of the Gloucester side as five of the six goal bound efforts from our boys found the back of the net.
MoM Ballard praised his team for their battling qualities.
