Swallowfield 10+3 – Sunday 16th September – Registration now open!

Swallowfield 10+3 provide a series of races around the parish of Swallowfield in Berkshire.

Swallowfield 10K and 3K Races

The 10K is a sensational measured road race through rural Berkshire countryside. Starting in Swallowfield village the route passes along quiet country roads to Farley Hill and then back along country lanes to Swallowfield Parish Hall. Every competitor completing the course will receive a finishers medal. There will be special awards for the fastest in class. Once again, the roads will be closed to through traffic in Swallowfield.

The 3K fun run is on an (almost) completely off road course mainly on grass through the grounds of Swallowfield Park.

Duathlon

The Duathlon consists of a 6.7km run through Farley Hill, followed by a 18.5km cycle across rural West Berkshire and finishing with a flat 3.7km run around Swallowfield.

Road Closures

Roads in and around Swallowfield and Farley Hill will be closed to through traffic from 9:30am on 16th September reopening at 2:30pm. There will also be delays to local traffic at Brookside Nursery in Swallowfield at 10:30am to allow the races to start safely; traffic will be held for 10 minutes at Swallowfield Park. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

More information is available in the letter provided to local residents. The map of the closure can be found here.
