WOKINGHAM DISTRICT U11S WIN SURREY DISTRICT LEAGUE!
Wokingham District Schools’ U11 Representative Team were crowned champions of the Surrey District League for the second year in a row, with a game to spare, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Croydon District on Saturday – both goals scored by George Weston-Brown. A great achievement for the boys who have performed won all their Surrey League games without conceding a single goal. Wokingham have the opportunity to make it a league double on Friday when they play Oxford City District in the Southern Counties League – a win or a draw will see the team win their second league title this season. ‘It has been an incredible season and the district continues to build on it’s ever growing reputation as one of the strongest district associations in the country.’ commented Stuart Bevan (Team Manager). The district team have already reached the Premier League National Finals at Liverpool FC’s Melwood Training Ground in June which will feature the ten regional winners from across the country and are also heading to Jersey during the Easter Holidays for the annual ESFA Jersey District Football Festival.
