TRULY DECEIVING – noir by david cliff – I first saw this home back in 2010 and I can tell you that there is simply zero resemblance to what was once here.

I had heard of all the great plans and thoughts as to what the current owners planned but I have to admit that I thought they were mad, over ambitious and were set for a fall ……. how wrong I was, and I mean SERIOUSLY wrong.

They wanted to use a local architect and builder to create a bespoke Executive home for their large family but also one that was environmentally friendly and had the latest energy saving features. They had been inspired by time they had spent living in Europe before settling back here in the UK. An example of this is the clever installation of the solar panels, integrated into the design means they have no visual impact, you literally don`t see them.
The decision for underfloor heating throughout was a good one, this along with the high level of insulation was a must in the current owners eyes.

So, I usually like to give you a verbal walk through but I'm honestly struggling to see how I do this justice, descriptively, so here's just my overview of what is in store for you.

We have just over 3000 sq ft here of town centre bricks and mortar, and it's a truly well-balanced and versatile 3000 sq ft. On arrival you could be forgiven for wondering how exactly that much accommodation fits, but it does, and very well.

The entrance hall sets the scene, spacious, plenty of room to greet guests, get shoes and coats off or swing a pram or two into position. The office is then off to the right, lovely shape to furnish and tucked out the way so you can work away from the main hustle and bustle of family life.
Then to the right we have the first reception space, huge space at just under 20ft by 14ft and this can be anything you want it to be but for this purpose we named it family room but there is so much further room you may have a different view.
