TRULY MAGAZINE WORTHY – noir by davidcliff – Prepare yourself to be wowed by this home, it oozes style and class throughout and no wonder why …….
We often talk about versatility, style, quality of finish and flow but rarely do you find it all in one home, but you have found it here and at circa 4000 sq feet there is no shortage of it either.
Before I go into overdrive about the house let’s cover off the location, about a mile from the re-generated town centre you could happily stroll in on a nice day or have a short cab ride ‘to and fro’ if a bite to eat and a few drinks were in order. The station in town will be another draw and with great links to A329, M4 and M3 you have everything covered.
On arrival here at Buckhurst Grove the large willow tree screens what is waiting for you and creates a centre piece to the large driveway. The front elevation is then interesting and attractive but by no means does it lead you to expect the vast accommodation that awaits.
The photographs on offer will help me explain but still don’t reflect the feeling of space as you walk in and through the large entrance hall with double doors to the left accessing the first of many reception spaces, a fantastic living room with the most stunning wood burner and beautifully decorated in show home style which is a theme that follows throughout.
To the right you then have the home office which is again quite impressive, beautifully fitted out with a full wall of storage and shelving but that nice chunky look that again looks and is quality but also serves the purpose it was designed for.
Carrying on through the centre of the entrance hall you find yourself entering the heart of the home. This whole section serves as kitchen, dining, family and entertaining area and has quite the impact. The coordination of kitchen storage, worksurfaces and huge Island give you all you could want really and then spills over to the open dining area which itself takes a full dining table seating ten comfortably. A utility room then gives you a dumping ground which we all need.
The dining area has the popular bi-fold doors giving views and access to the garden but also double doors that take you to the plush family room. This large comfortable room again with bi-fold doors gives some real versatility and I can see different buyers using this in very different ways. The family room and kitchen also share a double sided glass wood burner for those cosy winter nights in.
Going back into the entrance hall and to the left leads to the fun and fitness part, a lovely bar and then gym (don’t spill it!) The bar area does feel as though you could be on date night or chilling with friends before dinner, it really does work. The gym itself is again a versatile room so if like me you are likely to look at it but never go in it’s a space with bi-fold doors to the gardens that could become something else.
Moving upstairs we have 5 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms and an AMAZING dressing room, the choice is yours and all of this leads off from an impressive almost square landing area. Three en-suite which are all equally impressive but different in their own ways along with a large family bathroom ensure you aren’t left wanting. The bedrooms are then all impressive, but the master suite has that little bit extra, as it should do, in the shape of a stunning covered and private glass balcony.
Moving outside the theme continues, it kind of feels like relaxed quality if that makes sense, it looks amazing but you’re not too scared to walk on it. The terrace area is huge, so much space to relax or entertain and then it opens up onto a beautiful but simple lawned garden. You then also have the outside lighting and power so you can really go to town on creating moods if you wish. A further secluded area has been created to the rear which is home to a stunning water feature that is beautifully screened by trees to give some shade.
In summary I think this home is quite special in many ways but as with most things in life ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ so suggest you come for a tour and see if it’s the one…..
