YOU WON’T WANT TO LEAVE - noir by david cliff – This home is one to savour, a true lifestyle home yet versatile too and one to envy.

When I first saw this home back in 2011 it was a very desirable bungalow but was also quite clearly offering some incredible potential. I hoped that the then buyers and now owners would see this potential, but I have to say they saw beyond what I saw and have created a phenomenal home.

Luckley Road is a truly unique road in my humble opinion, set so close to town yet so quite with a simple walk in either direction to countryside or the town centre so you really do have the best of both worlds. You are also in good company here with individual homes that have been improved and extended in individual ways which really adds to the road.

Externally you wouldn’t easily believe that there is the amount of accommodation in here that there is, not to mention the plot and therefore outside living space which has come into its own in this weather and with the current restrictions, these guys really do feel like they’ve been on and extended holiday.

After parking in the extensive driveway the open porch leads you inside to a lovely size entrance hall which has been set-out in such a way that your eyeline is taken all the way through to the rear, some distance away. The versatility starts as soon as you enter, we have two fantastic size rooms to the left and to the right, both currently show really well as bedrooms but you could easily create a study if you prefer or just change as life changes.

As you move on the entrance opens up even further allowing the space to be furnished and made a feature, with a beautifully fitted bathroom to the left and the a utility room to the right you again see how the thought has gone into the design.
Ok ….. so beyond here is where the fun really starts and I’m not sure how I’m going to do this justice with words or pictures to be honest!

A family room or cinema room has been created in its own space, this gives you the ability to have a separate room, self-contained almost to do with what you choose, again, versatility is the key here.
Moving on, the HUGE rear section of the home with some stunning high ceilings has been designed to open into one glorious space or indeed section off when/ if needed with some beautiful glazed doors on a seamless track, ingenious.
So basically, what we have back here, as you can see from the floor plan, is beautifully fitted kitchen/breakfast room which links the whole space with cleverly created walkway. Openings then link a vast dining room and the main sitting room with vaulted ceilings, the living room alone is virtually 17ft by 16ft so you get some idea of the space. The huge bi-fold doors then open from both dining and living rooms which gives the most stunning access and views to the impressive decked entertaining area that greets you outside.

Moving upstairs the space here has also been well planned with two bedrooms created along with a lovely central bathroom along with large walk in shower. The noticeable thing up here is also the light and bright feel, the sun literally pouring in as it does downstairs too.

Now to the outside, starting with the vast decked area. I sat out here talking to the owners about the plan moving forward and I can honestly say I did not want to leave. The key here has been to make it large enough to accommodate what you would want here with ease so there isn’t any squeezing past the sofas to get to the dining area or indeed onto the hot tub (sub to neg) which is beautifully sheltered by a funky sail cover. This space again does truly need to be seen to understand just how good it is.

The garden then extends some distance further into a lovely total plot laid to lawn and with a great outbuilding set to the far corner with light and power, perfect for working from home.
I guess in summary it’s safe to say that we all love this place, love the thought that’s gone into its creation and love the way so much of it has been finished and just the lifestyle it affords you, so close to town but also so close to take the dog for a country walk.
