Windsor Ride is one of those roads that many people know but are still unsure of `where` it actually is, not a bad thing really and one of the reasons it remains so convenient yet so quiet.
The current owners arrived here back in 1991 and took over a modest bungalow in an already fantastic location and then in 2004 the transformation took place. Now we are able to bring to you a fantastic 4/5 bedroom family home that offers some incredibly versatile living that can grow and change with you and your family.
How did they do this, well they employed a local builder to literally remove the roof, re-model the ground floor and then add a complete first floor full of features. Some of the ceilings are semi vaulted and the large central landing divides the sleeping accommodation up really well with great double bedrooms, two en suites and family bathroom.
There are dens and cubby holes in the bedroom areas that young children have used to play in and then as they grew have now become practical storage areas for grown up things like boring suitcases and those boxes that never get opened, but room for golf clubs too?
The expression `seeing is believing` was made for homes like this, you`ll need a few visits to make sure you haven`t missed anything and that it`s all sunk in.
The central reception hall is vast in itself and the hand crafted staircase rises out of this space like its` own feature, almost treated as a piece of furniture in its` own right.
Turning right you find two of the reception rooms which are currently used as good sized offices (his and hers) so one you can see the desk and the other covered in `organised` paper work, leave you to guess whose is whose.
You then also have a bedroom five should you need it and if not then a whole reception space of its own for you to decide the best use and this isn`t even including the huge games room that sits central to the entrance.
Turning left from the reception hall you wander through lovely double doors to an inner lobby area which leads you to the vast living space, kitchen and utility and is also where you find the downstairs bathroom.
This whole space can, and does, link but also remains very separate .... you`ll need to see it to see what I’m describing very poorly.


Basically, the kitchen / breakfast room runs along the left-hand side and extends appx 20ft in length, with windows on two sides it really does allow the light to pour through. Double doors then open through to the vast living room so you can link quite easily for entertaining or just general family life.


The main living room itself is quite simply enormous even for a home that is just over 3400 sq ft, you could have this room arranged in so many different ways depending on how you live, dine, entertain. With doors and windows giving access and views out onto the terrace and gardens, this really is a wonderful room. It also has double doors opening to the rear which reveal the hidden, private, courtyard which in turn links through to the games room.


The gardens, appx 200 ft in length, have again been thoughtfully designed. As you wander you can see areas that have been created with good reason, for sun and for shade and for interest. Beautifully planted with wild flowers and some more structured areas and some water not just thrown in for good measure but to help attract the whole wildlife on offer. To be honest they mirror the home for me and help to give the whole package.


To the front there is yet again more than at first meets the eye, the planting screens things well but also misleads you slightly, there is parking here for 4 or 5 cars with in and out driveway which you don`t notice at first. Oh and yes of course the double/triple garage is again truly huge with doorway into an internal workshop which can also be accessed from the main house.


I know I say this on a few occasions but i can honestly say this home needs to be seen or you are quite likely to miss out, it has a fantastic feel and blend of accommodation and all set on a tremendous plot and in a top top road which offers just over 3400 square feet of SPACE!
