Southern Counties League
Wokingham District U11s V Dacorum District U11s

On Saturday, Wokingham DPSFA continued their perfect start to 2018 following up their 5-0 win over Woking and 3-0 win over Swindon with a 3-1 victory over Southern Counties League rivals Dacorum.

Wokingham were missing several players this week however were able to demonstrate the district’s strength in depth. The first half was a very tight affair with both sides struggling to create any clear chances. But in last few moments of the first half, Dacorum pounced on a rare lapse in the Wokingham defence to bundle the ball over the line.

In the second half, Wokingham were able to put several slick combinations together and equalised thanks to some trickery from Ejiro Abbey who mazed his way into the box and cooly finished into the bottom corner. The Berkshire boys then began to attack at speed creating several chances and then went ahead through striker, Jacob Len, who showed great composure in front of goal. The lead was then extended when the ball broke to Amar Bakkati in the box who fired past the keeper.

A strong second half sees Wokingham move top of the Southern Counties League ahead of St Albans on goal difference. Next up for Wokingham is an away trip to Stevenage in which they hope to continue their perfect start to 2018.
