It can be simple, if you have a good solicitor that you have used before we would simply recommend using them again. If you haven’t then there is nothing wrong with taking advice from your estate agent but make sure they are advising you for the right reason as some may be driven by the size of the referral fee they receive rather than the quality of the solicitor. Also it is sensible to ask the question are they ‘no sale, no fee’
We receive referral fees for clients we pass to our conveyancing team but we use them because they have been the best we have come across, are very competitive on their fees, forward thinking and offer you ‘Contract ready’ which is proving very popular. We work on the philosophy that we continue with our strong working relationships as long as they work for our clients so we are always keen to hear your feedback too.
Our conveyancing team have introduced a ‘Contract Ready’ scheme which gives you a real head start when you are considering selling your home... and incredibly it’s free to any client we refer to them.
They will look to get your documentation in order before you start marketing, this will not only speed up the selling process if needed but also looks a bit more desirable to any serious buyers that come to view or see you on line. Also bear in mind that if you see something you would like to buy you can use the fact that your own property is contract ready to appear more attractive as a potential buyer...there really is no downside to this scheme.
