Delighted to support our local cricket club.
Mortimer Cricket club has a long history and it celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2015.
The club plays on the fairground opposite
the Horse and Groom public house in Mortimer Common. It is based in the
new community centre and uses its fantastic new facilities. It has a
successful mid-week side, a friendly Sunday side and runs kwik-cricket
for children. It has recently re-joined the Saturday Berkshire league
starting in Division 3. It is a family orientated team and runs a number
of social events throughout the year.
New members are very welcome and they encourage you to come along to one of their games and say hello.
They are always looking for new players of all standards from beginners to more experienced players.
During the winter, they run regular net practice on a Sunday at the Willink from 9.30am-11.30am and when the season starts, they play either home or away from 1-2pm depending on the fixture.
Visit the calendar here.
They
have recently added a new bowling machine and outside nets to the
facilities offered to club members. Come along and support your local
team!
