AN IMPOSING HOME – This is just one of those homes that catches your attention.
For me, this home caught my attention as soon as I pulled up, you either ‘get’ townhouses or you don’t but you can’t deny this is a great looking place.
I love the look, it’s grand in my opinion, you’d pull up and think ‘yeah, I have a great looking home’ and that’s just how it should be sometimes. The blend of brick and render just pops, and the feature work around the windows shows the thought that has gone into the elevation.
Garage and driveway to the side, gate to the gardens and then off we go inside.
Ok so a good depth entrance hall takes your eyeline through to the back of the house, through French doors and out into the gardens, you obviously also get your first glimpse of the stunning reception room.
Turn right to the WC, all beautifully done and then left to the kitchen / breakfast area. The light is what struck me first, a huge box bay window to the front and then further side aspect window allows you to both watch the street scene and appreciate the light. The current owners have the breakfast table positioned actually in the box bay window and it looks great, the kitchen is then well-fitted with light cupboard fronts and contrasting work surfaces.
Now on and through to the main reception room. This room is stunning, partly because of the size and partly because of the owners’ taste in colours, lighting, and furniture. They have said themselves that they have had this space set-up in several different ways, so you do have options, but I think it really works like this.
The side window along with the French doors and side lights which give a huge section off glass, light and views over the gardens, again light, bright, fresh.
Now to the first floor, and we have three of the four bedrooms here, or a study depending on your needs. Two of the rooms are excellent doubles with built-in wardrobes and the third is still a great fourth bedroom or study. The family bathroom then completes things with a modern suite and tasteful and classy tiling as you would hope for.
The top floor …. prepare yourself because this is wow, really, it’s a suite with a full dressing room and great size en suite that really is knock out. At twenty seven feet in depth, you have some idea how this feels but you really do have to see it to get the full effect, it’s stunning and if you’re almost there this will tip you over the edge.
So now to the outside, we’ve touched on the frontage, driveway and garaging and this all works well. Out back we have a lovely patio area, one that is actually a size to take a selection of furniture without spilling onto the lawn. The lawn are then leads off, it’s been kept simple and fully fenced so you can then create whatever you would like depending on what type of garden you like.
All In all, I was impressed, and when I think about the cost of four bedroom homes in this location with Bo Hunt School, local amenities and great commuter links on your doorstep along with local parks and dog walks … I think it’s a winner.
