BAY FRONTED & BEAUTIFUL – How many driveways could one person need, and a double garage/ studio?

Ok so this is one of those homes that I wasn’t too sure what to expect, having met the owner and known it was a great address with period homes, I was intrigued to say the least, what style, what look had she gone for?

Well, it’s special, a special look and style with a cleverly thought out open plan feel downstairs but with very clearly defined spaces and areas, so hard to get right but it’s been nailed here.

On arrival you could easily miss it, in a good way, it’s secluded with a block paved driveway immediately in front of you (the first of two) and this means the property itself is beautifully set back behind a further garden lawn and shrubs.

As with many period homes the enclosed entrance is to the side and takes you into an open hallway. Spin right and it leads you to a light and bright bay fronted living room, two further windows allow the light to pour in and it has a great feel. An off-centre chimney breast and stunning fireplace has been used to create a lovely feature, give purpose, heat, and create that clever divide I mentioned earlier, screening the dining room but allowing ‘the flow.’

So, into the dining room space which is again a lovely size and draws your eyeline into a stunning kitchen so this space collectively works just how you would want it to. Looking back, you can then also see how the chimney breast I mentioned earlier really works to divide but allow the flow back the other way to the living space.

Walking through from the dining area to the kitchen you note how the walkway in has also had low level units fitted to give a seamless feel and it works, again this seems simple but is actually very clever. The sleek grey units and contemporary grey with fleck Quartz worktops look so stylish, such a great blend with a period home. The integrated appliances then guarantee the seamless look isn’t broken. Double doors then take you out into the gardens and the studio / garaging beyond.

I also must make mention that you do have a separate utility that you can close the door on and ground floor bathroom, super useful.

Let’s move upstairs, four bedrooms over two floors are what we have in store! On the first floor we have two fantastic doubles and a good single, the current owner has her office up here and it works really well. The double in the bay-fronted space has extensive built-in storage and there is plenty of room in the second double for the same. A re-fitted shower room and WC on this floor then completes things nicely. Rising to the top floor then gives you another fantastic double with vaulted ceiling and en suite shower and the Velux windows keep things light and bright.

Now we move outside, and the BIG surprise is out here. We’ve already mentioned the frontage, extensive, private and good parking but now we move to the rear. The garden is established and of a really decent size, loads of space to chill, relax or entertain…. but then at the end we have something a bit special for you.

Steps take you down to a huge double garage that has been beautifully transformed into a huge studio / bonus room with fitted kitchen cupboards and appliances (no cooker). This could easily be a treatment room, man cave whatever you wish it to be but it’s a huge plus. The vast ceiling lantern then gives as much natural light as you could need.

The remaining section has then been partitioned to provide a huge storeroom with electric roller door, beyond this is then a large blocked paved double driveway, driveway number two …. I told you!
