They have carried out major renovations over the years and gone to some quite extraordinary lengths to preserve, improve and maximise what this stunning home can offer and it really doesn`t disappoint.
Built in the late 1800`s West Lodge really does show the precision and attention to detail that the craftsmen of this era prided themselves on, the stunning elevations showing off the intricate brickwork, roof lines and period features.

As you approach just turning off Jouldings lane it is worth noting that the ground running alongside to the right is all owned by West Lodge so you really do control the whole approach, you also get your first glimpse of this stunning building. Turning into the cleverly redesigned driveway you have two stages here, the initial parking area provides good space for multiple vehicles, you then also have the cobbled, gated courtyard which provides even more parking if needed but more interestingly for me leaves a great area for the dogs to roam. I`m sure it will seem strange making so much of a courtyard but this to me says a lot about this property and its history not to mention the true practical benefits.......

Walking in through the courtyard to the covered entrance area you really can't wait to get inside and see what this home holds. The huge entrance hall shows you the first glimpse of just how well this contemporary feel has blended in with the true period exterior. Looking left and right takes your eye line to both ends of the property and you begin to understand how there could be just over 3000 sq ft here.
Double doors take you left into the most incredible triple aspect vaulted living room with windows over two levels, you may not have seen this before, and doors leading out onto one of the many redesigned terrace areas. The central fire place gives the warm cosy feel to such a vast room with the seating set around it, so easy to imagine relaxing here.
