I first saw this property some years ago and it certainly didn’t look like this, it needed someone who could have vision, creativity and a real `want` to produce a bespoke home which grew as their ideas grew, the Sadler brothers were the perfect duo for this.

You’ll see from the photography and floor plan that you walk under the covered entrance into a really excellent entrance hall, almost a reception hall to be honest and the flooring is stunning and carries through to the to the kitchen and dining space. The other clever detail here is that on entering you look straight through to the back of the property and out onto the extensive lawned gardens, the route your eyeline takes is important and they have succeeded here.

Versatility is also key for most people with reception space being flexible and you also have that here with four reception spaces effectively. All are approached from the reception hall, firstly the snug/ bedroom five or den is set to the front and would lend itself to a variety of uses. We then have the office itself but again if you needed his and hers offices or a study for children to carry out school or college work you can have that too.

I like the fact that the space here is large yet cosy, with all the other living space you probably would find yourself cosying up in here to watch a movie or escape the children so you don`t want too big and lose the feel.

The kitchen itself has a traditional feel about it which really works for me, timeless and one that ties in the rural feel of the setting along with the contemporary design and finish to the home itself, but see what you think.

Appliances include neff oven, wine chiller and combined microwave oven with the induction hob set into the Island but still with plenty of prep space around it, a bug bear of mine, Island units should really work as well as being a cool feature, but what do I know.....

The much-desired utility room where everything can be hidden is then nicely tucked away but a great size to fit all you need.

Moving upstairs along the oak and glazed staircase you discover an incredible master suite with balcony, guest suite and two further bedrooms a with family bathroom, all beautifully finished.

The master suite (it’s all about you) is superb, at 16ft by 14ft it’s a tremendous size and shape with en-suite shower room and then the most beautiful balcony cleverly created with privacy in mind and now those warm summer nights you can have the doors open and enjoy the breeze. Whilst up here it’s also worth taking note of bedroom three, at just over 17ft by 13ft I think there is something that could be done here if you needed a third en suite or a larger guest suite but that will be for you to decide.

Right, let’s move outside, frontage we have pretty much covered. Large driveway leading to the garage, pillared entrance, and room to move. To be honest I wouldn’t be against converting the garage and then looking at an option for a barn style carport (sub to planning).

The rear garden is just how I would want it, lawn, few trees down the end which you could light up as a feature and then a lovely paved terrace that comes out seamlessly from the kitchen and living room giving a great place to relax with the family or entertain your guests. You will see from the pictures that the overall plot is a great size so if you are keen to create further features, an outside kitchen, hot tub area or things for the children you can.

I have to say the setting here is dreamy and the quality of work is of a high standard, the question is quite simply `is this you sort of thing` ….. why not come along and see?
