THE ULTIMATE FAMILY HOMETHE ULTIMATE FAMILY HOME - I have to be honest, I`ve struggled to know where to start with this one as it has simply got so much going for it...
The current owners have turned an already attractive property in to something you just simply cannot buy in this area and what`s more, they have done it in some serious style.
So firstly, when you arrive you`ll spot the fact that you have a huge drive with space to park multiple cars which is something you just don`t really see with this style of property.
The whole elevation of the house has been transformed by the addition of grey windows which compliment the brick work perfectly. On through a trendy grey composite door, you`ll find yourself inside and there is plenty to explore from here!
Either side of the hallway you`ll find two reception rooms; the one on the right currently being used as a playroom and the opposite is the main living room which is a light and airy space with a wall mounted TV one end and space for large corner sofa at the other with the gas fire placed just in the middle.
You`ll notice the shutters in the living room windows which are placed in all the front windows; not only are they ultra-convenient but they look stunning from the front of the property.
The main selling point for me just has to be the kitchen/living/dining space which stretches right the way across the back of the house. The sellers had the property extended to create the kitchen area which, not only creates a fantastic space but you also have natural light flooding in through the Velux windows recessed in the pitched roof.
The units themselves are ultra modern with handless doors which are contrasting grey colours complimented by thin stone worktops and top of the range appliances. And when I say `top of the range`..I mean, top of the range!! Put it this way, the ovens can be Bluetooth operated!
Exposed brickwork, herringbone wooden flooring and the stunning bi-folding doors out on to the garden create the perfect blend between `character` and `contemporary` and have been mixed in a way I have never seen before.
Now we all know it is lovely to have the `magazine style` kitchen but the practicalities of every day family life also have to be thought about. In case you haven`t got the gist by now, every tiny detail has been thought about here. For example, the utility area is hidden behind sliding doors from the kitchen and also provides access to a downstairs cloakroom as well as the garage!
Across the other side of the room you will find the study. This also formed part of the extension works that were carried out so there is another pitched roof with Velux window as well as french doors out on to the patio so you can `bring the outside in` on those warmer summer days. There is a fitted office in here which you have to truly see to believe!!
The garden is extremely family friendly and low maintenance. There is a large patio area outside the bi fold doors and the owners have had a grey electric awning fitted to provide extra shade if you need it on sunnier days. As oppose to fencing, the garden is totally walled which not only means less worry about maintenance but also just creates a more executive feel.
My favourite part of the upstairs has to be the master suite. It is so well thought out and provides everything you could wish for - as you walk in the door there is a walk-in wardrobe to the right, then a really high quality en suite on the left with an additional built in wardrobe too.
Bedrooms two three and four share the family bathroom and beds two and four both have built in wardrobes.
Winnersh sits just between Reading and Wokingham and has a direct train to both London Waterloo and Reading from the train station. There are excellent local amenities and well-regarded schools, all within walking distance of this particular house. The A329M and M4 are within extremely easy reach making the area a top spot for commuters.
