EVEN LARGER THAN YOU THINK - What a fantastic size and unique family home this truly is and although impressive to look at you will still be staggered by the size when you walk inside.
I’ve been past this home on many occasions over the last few years and having seen it transform from a modest bungalow to this huge family home I’ve often wondered what lay behind the door, well now I know, and so could you!
The elevated position adds to what is already a quite imposing look, but it really does add something for sure, it also just gives the feel of being up and out the way slightly, the partially hidden driveway then gives plenty of parking so from a practical perspective it works too.
Walking inside you immediately notice the huge entrance hall, it’s seriously vast with more than enough room to greet guests and get the children inside with shoes and coats off. Storage is in abundance with three large built in cupboards and then the cloakroom.
The living space here is incredible, you have such versatility with living room, family room, dining room and study along with a fantastic size kitchen / breakfast room.
The living room alone extends to 26 feet and has fantastic views over the impressive rear gardens as does the study and dining room.
The kitchen breakfast room has been very cleverly designed virtually square so you have options should you wish to make changes in the future but also great space for breakfast table. Just in case this still doesn’t quite meet your requirements and you have less need for the formal dining room you could open through here to create the kitchen / living space of ALL kitchen / living spaces.
Moving upstairs we have 5 bedrooms on offer, again the space here has been well thought out. Areas have been created which gives the feeling of privacy and separation whilst still feeling homely, I guess what I’m trying to say is that they have created ‘interest’ up here which is a lovely extra.
The master suite is as you would hope for and frankly as it should be when you are paying the bills! The entrance to the suite creates a hotel suite style and feel, you first wander past the large en suite then a beautiful size dressing room and then through to the huge bedroom itself. This room has a Juliette balcony and further window which give both beautiful features and views to the impressive gardens beyond. You then have both family bathroom and separate shower room which service the remaining 4 bedrooms, and this works well.
The plot really does match the house and, in some respects, exceeds it. The current owners have created a lovely seating and entertaining area immediately to the rear with retaining wall, this then surrounds the home with pathways leading to the front.
The main body of the garden is just how I like it, lawn, you just can’t beat a huge lawn, room to play and party and who doesn’t like cutting the grass? Established shrub borders then give the mature feel along with some mature trees dotted.
In the distance you’ll then see an evergreen hedgerow and beyond this somewhat of a surprise which is available by separate negotiation. An above ground level pool awaits you, covered and enclosed with an area next door providing a gym if this is your thing. Either way this area of garden is a lovely extra and somewhere for either extended privacy or to hide the kids bits and keep the main view as you would like it.
‘Need to see it to fully appreciate it’ is an expression used far too often but I can promise you it is definitely the case in this instance so do get in touch and we’ll take you over in a COVID-19 safe viewing.
