AN INCREDIBLE CREATION - noir by david cliff - The current owner can take full responsibility for this really stunning creation and it`s one we would urge you to see.
From a humble 1960`s bungalow 7 years ago there was a vision here to create a stunning family home which looking back on it now was in fact well ahead of its’ time. The balance in both the look, elevation wise, and internally of accommodation both upstairs and down was no mistake, it was just well thought out and the end result is beautiful.
On arrival you have a proper driveway that is fit for a family home, guests coming and going, children learning to drive not to mention their friends turning up.
The huge entrance hall is the first real feature, vaulted to a galleried landing and with such a vast floor space you can furnish it to create ‘a look’ that suits your style. We often mention the practicalities of this space on a home, room to greet guests and get the kids shoes and coats off but it really is evident here. The downstairs shower and cloakroom is then straight ahead and finished as beautifully well as you would be expect and hope.
You have two rooms set to the front, the study and the family room, well, I say family room but many would have this as the main living room but that again is for you to decide. Double doors come into this impressive square room that measures just over 17ft by 16ft and gives so many options to furnish. The study is then again an excellent size for a study, again virtually square in shape and gives you real versatility so if you don’t need a true study this could easily become a ground floor bedroom or a smaller but more standard family, Xbox, PlayStation room.
Moving to the back of the home you have more excellent space which again is all beautifully fitted and finished. The main living room looks out onto the landscaped gardens with doors straight out onto the raised deck and lawn beyond. It’s cleverly large enough to be really quite impressive yet the flooring and décor choice give it a cosier feel.
If all of this hasn’t already impressed you we then enter the kitchen, living and dining space ….. and it’s fantastic! At virtually 20ft square it gives you the heart of the home, the space where you would relax as a family or entertain friends with room to breathe.
The kitchen area itself has been created to give all you need without the space spilling out more than is required. The extensive utility room houses all the parts you don’t want on show, a place to dump the laundry and a ‘holding chamber’ for muddy kids and dogs.
You often find that these ‘heart of the home’ spaces struggle to really give all that you want but here there is no issue. Although you have casual seating at the island unit there is also more than enough space for a great size dining table and also a relaxed seating area for sofas, you really do need to see it.
Moving upstairs the feeling of space continues with a great size galleried landing that in turn leads to five bedrooms. The master suite is particularly impressive, the bedroom area itself is vast and you can have fun creating the look that you want as you also have a totally separate dressing room and stunning en suite which combined gives a true hotel suite feel. Bedrooms two, three, four and five are then all excellent spaces serviced by a lovely family bathroom.
Outside has been equally well thought out. The screened front driveway gives plenty of room to park, often an issue nowadays with children staying at home longer but no problems here.
To the rear you still have a great size garden which has an established feel with some generally mature planting and trees which give a lovely canopy of privacy. You also have a large terrace area which runs along the rear giving a great space to relax and entertain. There is room here for the often needed kids trampoline whilst still maintaining a feel of a grown up garden for you to enjoy, all in all the best of both worlds.
