SINGLE LEVEL LUXURYSINGLE LEVEL LUXURY - noir by david cliff - Sometimes you walk in to a property and just think "WOW".......and this is one of those. If you consider what this place would have looked like just a few years ago, what you now see is an absolute transformation which is a true testament to the current owners who have poured their heart and soul in to making this a true home. Building it for themselves to live in you can tell that they have really gone the extra mile in terms of fixtures and finishes with tiled floors, bifold doors, high quality fittings and tasteful decoration - this place is not to be missed out on.
From the front you`ll notice a post and rail fence which has had shrubbery planted along it so that in the future this will become a more enclosed space but for now gives you a really open and grand feel as you pull up and enter the driveway through the wooden five bar gate. There is ample space on the driveway for multiple vehicles and the drive continues down the side of the house up to the garage.
Move on up the steps to the front door and you instantly get that sense of style and class just by the fixtures on the door and with the colour it is painted! As the front door opens you find yourself in a light bright hallway which literally runs from front to back so provides access to the whole property as oppose to having to go through a room to another room which is often so common in an extended bungalow.
To your left hand side is the main living room which has a bay window to the front creating a true sense of space and with a fireplace in the middle of the room acting as the main focal point making this a really cosy room. Don`t be fooled by thinking cosy means small because that simply isn`t the case here, there is plenty of room for some chunky sofas and TV furniture.
Across the hall is the third bedroom which is very well proportioned as is bedroom four which even as the smallest room is still 10ft 9 by 8ft 2 so makes a comfortable bedroom but could also be used as a study if you didn`t need all the bedrooms. As you walk round the corner from Bedroom four and towards the rest of the house you`ll find a large storage cupboard on the right which is ideal for hanging coats, kicking off shoes and just general storage which can so easily be missed nowadays.
The main bedroom benefits from having an ensuite shower room which is fitted to a high specification with large shower tray and modern toilet and sink. There is another double bedroom across the other side of the hallway which again is actually slightly larger than the bedroom with the ensuite but is a slightly different shape.
The family bathroom is next door and walking in here was certainly another one of those "wow" moments with a standalone bath positioned in the middle of the room under the window and the furniture that the sellers currently have in here really creates that hotel-like feel.
Now they always say `save the best until last` and the layout of this bungalow automatically does that for you as once you have explored the front of the property you will then find yourself in the true hub of the home. An expansive kitchen dining room which is then open to the second reception room making a huge open plan living space but also with that sense of cosiness and seclusion with the only slight separation between the kitchen space and living space.
A large island occupies the middle of the kitchen side which creates a gorgeous spot to sit up at on one side and additional storage on the other side. The kitchen consists of integral appliances with a trendy mixture of coloured units which perfectly offset one and other. Keeping things practical there is the utility room just behind the kitchen which provides an ultra convenient space for storage and a spot to do your washing away from all the important stuff...eating, drinking and entertaining!
Bifold doors stretch across fifty percent of the back of the house which really helps `bring the outside in` and you can simply sit at your dining table and enjoy views over the landscaped garden which also happens to enjoy a south easterly aspect. Having sat in this room on a hot summers day I cannot vouch for this space enough - it really is just perfect!
The garden itself is extremely generous in size and off the back of the house is a large patio area for al fresco dining, with raised flower beds and steps up on to the lawn. There are various mature shrubs and well placed trees throughout the garden which really add character and make the outside space extremely private and secluded.
This luxurious bungalow is positioned within a stones throw of the local doctors surgery, dentist and shops and the towns of Wokingham and Crowthorne are only a short drive away. The area is furnished with well regarded schools and popular local amenities which make Finchampstead `the place to live`.
I could literally go on for hours about this place but it is probably best that you come and soak it up for yourself...
