So Much More Than Meets The EyeSO MUCH MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE – You often see agents saying “you really need to view this home to fully appreciate it” ….. in this case it is so true!
When I first arrived here I remember thinking to myself, “looks like a pretty large place” and I seriously underestimated what I was about to see.
It begins outside, may sound an obvious thing to say but I mean the size and scale, a huge driveway giving space for numerous vehicles makes this an ideal home for a growing family with multiple cars not to mention room for a few toys if you can get away with it. The immense double garage then gives even more space for storage and the large shaped lawn and planting softens everything as well as giving good privacy.
Wandering inside you first discover the jaw dropping vaulted and galleried reception hall, and it’s wonderful. The continuous wood floor takes your eye line straight through this space to the dining room and beyond to outside and you suddenly realise how deep this home is. It is also worth noting that the incredible high ceilings continue throughout the ground floor and are quite a feature.
Turning left you have two fantastic size reception rooms which we will call family a room and study for the purpose of the description but versatility is the key here and you can imagine how these rooms could become whatever you needed them to be.
Going back to the dining room gives you the third of four reception rooms, we haven’t discussed the living room yet, wait for it.
The dining room is a huge room over 20ft in width and runs along about half of the rear elevation. The bi-fold doors give both access and views to the raised terrace and gardens beyond. The room is so light and bright and is of such a size that it too lends itself to other purposes and also, being located next to the kitchen breakfast room, offers other possibilities.
Moving on to the kitchen / breakfast room it’s beautifully fitted with a very modern look of contrasting eye and base level units, integrated appliances and a cool bank of full height units on one feature wall that houses the two ovens, warming drawer and microwave. The breakfast bar then gives ample room for coffee and breakfast or more but you could equally create a seating area here with table and chairs if you preferred. The utility room leads on from here and gives a good storage area to keep all those things you want to close the door on.
The living room …. prepare yourself to buy a big TV. This room is simply huge but also incredibly comfortable with the correct level of furnishing. The room measures appx 24ft by 21ft and the dual aspect design and high ceilings again allows light to fill the space. The current owners have very cleverly added a feature chimney breast which breaks the room up well as well as allowing you to have a lovely warming fire with display recesses either side.
Moving upstairs you have four double bedrooms and a huge family bathroom so true family space again. The master suite also has a range of built in wardrobes and good size en suite shower room so all the facilities you would hope for. The landing area also give some easy access eaves storage, so much simpler that climbing into the loft.
Outside has already been covered as far as the frontage and garage is concerned, it’s impressive, moving to the rear you have a lovely raised terrace giving lots of space to relax or entertain. This then steps down onto the main lawn which really is a great size when you step back and really look at it, our pictures probably don’t do it justice. The side gates obviously give access but you also have a large sideway ideal for storage shed and greenhouse etc.
So, all in all this is a lovely, large family home with immense and versatile living space and super high ceilings which increase the feeling of space even further.
If I were you I’d be taking a look …….
