Oh So Exclusive

OH SO EXCLUSIVE - noir by david cliff - Positioned off Kiln Ride, you may not have heard of Alexander Close....and that`s why we love it! It`s a small, exclusive selection of only 5 houses and was built by a local builder back in 2011.

This house is positioned at the front of the development so does actually face on to Kiln Ride directly and it benefits from having its own gated entrance. The current owners have had an oak framed car port built on the driveway which positively compliments the already spacious double garage and still leaves ample space for guests to visit - you`ll work all of this out for yourself when you visit. The first time I came here it was getting dark and the front garden was tastefully lit which, for me, added a real touch of class and sophistication.

Having made your way down the path, through the manicured front garden you`ll find yourself walking into a large open hallway and what I really love about the downstairs of this house is that all the rooms are accessed from this one hall, so no awkward narrow walkways or having to go through one room to another. Also, the space is extremely versatile. As it stands, our sellers have the front room set out as a study and the room on the opposite side of the hall is a dining room. These two rooms are both similar in size so would make perfect playrooms, additional snugs, or simply a dining room and study as they are at the moment - the dining room has a bay window looking out over the front of the house which is a nice touch that adds light and creates a further sense of space.

The main living room is accessed through double doors and the current owners had parts of this room upgraded when they purchased the house from new. This great usable space has the addition of bi-folding doors out on to the patio as well as a recessed log burner which adds some real character and makes this a really cosy room on those cold winter nights but also a light airy space to relax with the bi-folds open in the summer.

As you walk in to the kitchen breakfast room you`ll find the utility room on your right hand side. There is a door from there out on to the side path which makes this an ideal space for kicking off your shoes or drying off the dog after a long muddy walk in the local woodland. You`ll find your own uses but for us, we love the fact that it keeps all the appliances out of the kitchen and creates further storage for you. The kitchen itself has been finished to a really high spec with built in triple ovens, a built in microwave and dishwasher as well as a fridge and freezer. The floor is tiled giving a sleek and contemporary finish and it compliments the wooden floor as it meets from the hallway. Again, from here, you have french doors out on to the patio.

When I asked the sellers why they bought this property they said it was because it was full of natural light and they certainly weren`t wrong and that becomes really clear as you go upstairs. Three of the four bedrooms have additional Velux windows in the ceiling which enable the light to flood in to what are already spacious, airy rooms. The master has ample built in wardrobes and has an en suite which has a trendy corner shower cubicle as well as high quality tiling floor to ceiling. The main bathroom is also really modern with modern fittings like a backless toilet and again, floor to ceiling tiles in contemporary colours.

Due to the fact there were only 5 properties built in this small development, the garden size is generous which not only has a large patio across the back of the house but also has space for a shed and summerhouse, both of which have light and power. The garden itself actually has a watering system around the flower beds - it is lovely to see that these people have clearly taken so much time to care for and maintain this house! Back out the front there is a storage area down the side of the garage with ample space for storing tools etc as well as the all important logs for the wood burner!

This property really shouldn`t be missed - we still speak to people now who say they wish they had bought one of these from new. Don`t be one of those people...get in touch today and let us show you what`s on offer.
