A Real Tardis

A REAL TARDIS - Quite often you may hear someone say that their house is a tardis...but until you have been inside this house, you just quite simply haven`t been in a true, real life tardis - this place gives Dr. Who a run for his money!

As if the size isn`t enough (I`ll come back to that in a minute), the location is absolutely phenomenal. Church Lane is one of those roads where people will often dream of owning a house, mainly because its a rural setting with a stunning church and local village pub but is equally within easy access of neighbouring towns such as Wokingham and Crowthorne. Stand upstairs in this house and you will see exactly what I am talking about - stunning views over farmland that seems to stretch for miles and miles - it`s amazing!

Now back to the house. Don`t be fooled by the initial appearance of this house - it may look like a sympathetically extended chalet bungalow from the front but as soon as you step in to the hallway you already know that there is more than meets the eye. The first time I walked in I was actually astounded as to just how wide and spacious the hallways seemed. It is understood that the house was extended by the previous owner who was a local builder who clearly built for convenience. Put it this way, in the hallway alone there are three huge storage cupboards including the airing cupboard and then there is storage in all of the bedrooms as well.

To the right hand side of the house is the main bedroom which has access through in to a dressing room. To your right hand side of the room you will find what appears to be a wardrobe but when you open it you`ll discover the door into the garage - we refer to it as the door in to Narnia - you just don`t expect it but it really works. You do also have a door off the back of the garage if needs be.

Following through from the dressing room you have the en suite which also then links up with the main bathroom as an almost jack-and-jill style setup. Beyond here is bedroom four which is generous in size being over 15ft by 11ft and it enjoys views over the rear garden.

Back towards the front door is the kitchen dining room which is a really impressive space and with a slightly elevated position from the front it really gives you that sense of space when you are standing inside, gazing over the fields to the front. Off the kitchen is a utility room which also has access out to the side path so it`s ideal for bringing the shopping in, letting the kids kick their shoes off or drying down the dog after a long muddy walk in the local woodland.

Out in to the hallway and back towards the rear of the house you will find another large reception room on your left hand side. This is accessed via double doors from the hallway but links up with double doors again to the living room at the back. This room could be used for any type of room, depending on your needs, although it is currently set up as a large dining room. I also have it on good authority that there have been many a well attended dinner party held in here! Right at the back of the house is a massive reception room which is over 23ft in with and enjoys the view across the garden which can be accessed from the room by sliding doors.

Now when you go upstairs you come up in to a huge room which is over 23ft by over 22ft; previously used as a games room which housed a full size snooker table this room can be used as a large bedroom, a second reception room or even an additional lounge space if you wanted an annexe style setup; it really just depends on how you need to utilise the space. There is an additional cloakroom off this room and the third bedroom then stretches across the back of the first floor. The third bedroom has a really big en suite with a large corner shower and the upstairs has four access points to eaves storage.

The outside space is just as positive as the inside room with a large in and out driveway creating ample parking for multiple vehicles. To the left hand side is a secure side access to the rear garden which itself benefits from having a southerly aspect so you have sun throughout the day!

Do not miss out on this excellent family home - it`s got plenty of space, still some potential and the location is to die for! We look forward to hearing from you.
