Hurricanes on the win

A massive well done to The Hurricanes winning 5-0 to Farncombe yesterday.

Quite an eventful morning as they travel to Farncombe. Farncombe have had some exceptional results against 1st and 2nd in the league and some very close games with the other top teams, so it was not looking like a push over especially with just 11 players on a big muddy pitch.

Having said that, what a brilliant performance from the 11 Hurricanes players. They had control of the game from the kick off and even managed to pick up the pressure on Farncombe in the second half.

The pass and move, quick releasing of the ball and support play was excellent. Defensively the lads looked confident and unphased even when Farncombe played 3 up top. Midfield dominated the centre of the pitch and allowed the Hurricanes to keep attacking. And some brilliant finishing in the final third!! Could have had more if it wasn’t for the tall keeper.

Todays result has earned the Hurricanes joint 4th place with 2 games in hand, 2 points off 3rd and 6 points off 1st.

Thank you to Nick for running the line plus thank you to Simon & Darren for picking up the passengers and kit on the Frimley roundabout. And a big thank you to the stranger who stopped and jump started the car.

Next week is a big game against current top of the league Burpham at home, another 6 pointer. Fingers crossed on the weather!!
